Alongside Bosch and Daimler, TomTom has created Predictive Powertrain Control, a revolutionary advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) for commercial vehicles.
Through this, trucks can utilise a highly-accurate ADAS Map and use Bosch’s electronic horizon to automate driving functions on highways and inter-urban roads.
TomTom’s George de Boer says that this will lead to a fuel reduction of up to 5% per vehicle and will help the freight industry become cleaner and safer thanks to advance location technology.
