Electric motorcycles manufacturer Damon has revealed its new HyperFighter family of bikes at CES.

The new motorbike family includes two models: the HyperFighter Colossus and the HyperFighter Unlimited, which is available in two power options.

The bikes are built on Damon’s HyperDrive technology, the first monocoque-constructed, electric, multivariant powertrain. The powers that be at CES were so impressed they gave HyperDrive a CES 2022 Innovation Award.

“Forget what you know about traditional streetfighters. Just as HyperSport has done to the sportbike segment, the HyperFighter stands to disrupt the streetfighter category with groundbreaking technology not found on any other bikes,” says Jay Giraud, co-founder & CEO, Damon Motors.

“The HyperFighter is a stripped-down demon of a bike that is not for the faint of heart. We’re excited to give the naked sports bike fanatic everything they want, and with HyperDrive serving as the nucleus, Damon can continue to innovate and rapidly scale to bring the world’s most electrifying motorcycles to market.”

The HyperDrive Colossus is set to start at $35,000and comes with a 20 kWh battery which pushes out a frightening 200 horsepower and more than 200 Nm of torque. 0-60 mph, Damon says, will be dealt with in under three seconds, while 100 mph could be reached in less than five. We expect the company is being conservative with these estimates.

Top speed is 170 mph and the Colossus is claimed to have a 146-mile range.

There are two HyperFighter Unlimited models, the 15 and the 20. The 15 has a 15 kWh battery and 150 horsepower. The 20, meanwhile, has a 20 kWh battery and 200 horsepower. 0-60 mph for both models should take less than three seconds, while 0-100 mph, again, should take less than 5 seconds.

The 15 starts from $19,000 while the 20 costs $25,000. The 20 gets a 170 mph top speed, while the 15 can only manage 150 mph. The range for both models is 146-miles and 120-miles, respectively.

Both models can be reserved with a fully refundable deposit – just $250 for the Colossus and $100 for the HyperFighter Unlimited models.

“HyperFighter pays homage to the streetfighters of yesterday while looking to the future with unparalleled safety and performance that Damon is known around the world for,” said Derek Dorresteyn, Chief Technology Officer, Damon Motors.

“We’ve built an incredible, technologically-advanced motorcycle that will appeal to both long-time streetfighter enthusiasts and new riders.”

The bikes also come with CoPilot, a 260-degree advanced warning system that used radar, cameras, and non-visual sensors to track up to 64 moving objects around the bike to help riders remain safe.

Damon’s Shift feature, meanwhile, allows riders to change their riding position with adjustable handlebars on the fly, while a retractable windscreen can reduce wind resistance or increase long-range comfort.
