France’s Faurecia is teaming up with Immersion Corporation (NASDAQ: IMMR), a leading developer and provider of technologies for touch-based haptics. They multi-year license agreement enables Faurecia to develop advanced, interactive haptic user interfaces with the latest innovations from Immersion.
Faurecia HMI solutions offer intuitive technologies allowing occupants to interact by touch, gesture or voice to manage infotainment, seating or thermal comfort options. It has developed a scalable multi-view graphical interface, called Trenza, which reduces driver distraction.
Edouard Da Silva, Display Global Product Line Director at Faurecia Clarion Electronics, says: “Cars in the near future will be built with smart technology, which allows intuitive touch based interactions.
