EVgo and Lyft today are expanding their partnership to accelerate rideshare electrification through Lyft’s planned introduction of 200 new electric vehicles (EV) for drivers in Denver, Colorado.
EVgo says it will provide fast charging support for the market at its 20 EVgo stations across the greater Denver metro area.
EVgo already provides the service for the Lyft Express Drive EV fleets in the U.S. cities of Atlanta and Seattle.
Cathy Zoi, CEO of EVgo, says: “”EVgo is thrilled to expand our partnership with Lyft to promote rideshare electrification in Denver. EVgo is committed to an all-electric future, and we’re excited to work with Lyft to support Colorado’s ambitious plans for cleaner and more sustainable communities.”
Gabe Cohen, Regional Director at Lyft, adds: “We are proud to work with leaders across Colorado who share our commitment to more sustainable transportation options that are better for drivers, riders, and the communities we serve.”
In August, Colorado became the tenth U.S. state to adopt California’s zero emission vehicle (ZEV) mandate.
