Audi is presenting its next all-electric model – the Audi e-tron Sportback – at the LA Auto Show.
Audi says it’s bringing together the best of three worlds: ‘the strong presence of an SUV, the elegance of a Sportback, and the progressive character of an electric car’.
The LA premiere of Audi e-tron Sportback can be watched on Tuesday, November 19, from 6:00 p.m. local time (3:00 a.m. CET on November 20) right here on Auto Futures or via the link at the bottom of the page.
The new EV features innovative ‘Digital Matrix’ headlights – a first for a series-production vehicle. These can light the way in front of the car with unprecedented precision through the use of of around one million micromirrors.
It shares its powertrain with the Audi e-tron SUV and will be built at the same production location in Brussels.
Audi’s new BEV and PHEV portfolio will see in excess of 20 electrified models join the range by 2025. It’s planning to invest approximately €14 billion into electric mobility, digitalisation and autonomous driving between 2019 and 2023 alone.
Overall, the company’s total projected expenditure for the planning period of the next five years amounts to around €40 billion.
