EV start-up BYTON has offered up a glimpse inside its first production model, the BYTON M-Byte SUV. The ‘high-tech digital cockpit’ includes a 48-inch ‘Shared Experience Display’, ‘Smart Surfaces’ and inward rotating front seats.
The company also announced the opening of a new design studio in Shanghai. BYTON says it will focus on the Chinese market, as well as work closely with BYTON’s existing design studio in Munich on advanced and intelligent design for the global market.
Benoît Jacob, BYTON’s Senior Vice President of Design, says: “BYTON has a well-developed global design team in both Germany and China, with top designers and specialists from 17 countries working together.“
He adds: “The diverse cultural atmosphere of the team allows designers to fully interact with one another and understand the lifestyles, habits, and needs of consumers from different countries. Together, BYTON designers are committed to create leading smart mobility for consumers around the world.”
BYTON’s global headquarters and manufacturing centre are located in Nanjing, China. Its global R&D hub is in Silicon Valley and its design and concept vehicle centre is located in Munich, Germany.
