Mercedes has revealed a teaser image of the new Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé which will go on show to the public for the very first time at CES 2019 in Las Vegas. Admittedly, the image doesn’t exactly reveal very much. But the company is calling the car ‘a highly intelligent automotive specimen’.
In a press release Mercedes says: ‘the new CLA offers a number of clever solutions, from the MBUX Interior Assistant that identifies operation requests on the basis of movements to lend the vehicle interior a certain level of intelligence, to augmented reality for navigation and the ability to understand indirect voice commands’.
The car will also offer its ENERGIZING COACH service which features individual fitness recommendations.
Meanwhile the German company says it will also unveil a number of new concept vehicles at the event. One of them is a concept for demand-based, efficient and sustainable mobility called the Vision URBANETIC which will have its US première. The concept is suitable for transporting either passengers or cargo and is autonomous and electrical.
Mercedes says ‘the fully network-compatible Vision URBANETIC forms part of an ecosystem in which logistics companies, local public transport companies as well as private individuals can digitally send their transport requests across urban environments’.
The Mercedes-Benz Cars press conference will start on the first press day, 8 January, at 11 am (local time) at the Mercedes-Benz exhibition stand.
