The Pitchalong Shuffle is the name of a new EV taxi where sustainable and innovative start-ups can pitch their ideas directly to executives of the Finnish clean energy company Fortum. What’s more, the cost of the journey is paid for by the pitching, it’s a comfortable environment for pitching business ideas and the vehicle is emission free.
The taxi was launched at Slush, a start-up event held in the Finnish capital Helsinki in early December.
Fortum says it’s looking for world-changing ideas that can help tackle climate change. The most successful start-ups have a chance to kick-start a beneficial partnership with the company.
In a press release, Arun Aggarwal, Fortum’s Head of Business Technology says: “We are looking for visionary ideas that can have a huger positive impact on the society and the environment. The concept of a cleaner world is a very large idea. No one company has all the resources, the assets, and the ideas to do that. Collaboration with innovative start-ups is essential for our work towards a cleaner world.”
He adds: “We had many positive encounters at Slush and will now continue discussion with the most promising partner prospects.”
Fortum says the Pitchalong Shuffle is run on Jaguar I-Pace electric cars.
